Balige, Danau Toba, 24 Agustus 2025 – InJourney Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) bersama H2O Racing sukses menyelenggarakan ajang internasional The Lake Toba GP 2025 dengan lancar. Puncak perhatian publik tertuju pada UIM F1H2O World Championship – Grand Prix of Indonesia 2025, yang menyajikan pertarungan sengit para pembalap perahu motor tercepat di dunia pada Sabtu (23/8) – Minggu (24-8).
Pembalap asal Kanada, Rusty Wyatt (Sharjah Team/UAE License), keluar sebagai juara setelah menguasai 24 lap dengan catatan waktu impresif. Ia mengungguli rekan setimnya, Alec Weckström dari Victory Team, yang finish di urutan kedua, serta pembalap muda Inggris, Ben Jelf, yang berhasil meraih podium ketiga.
Organizing Committee Chairman The Lake Toba GP/Direktur Operasi ITDC Troy Warokka menyampaikan apresiasinya atas kelancaran acara. “Kelancaran rangkaian The Lake Toba GP 2025 menjadi bukti bahwa Indonesia mampu menjadi tuan rumah event olahraga air kelas dunia dengan standar internasional. Ajang ini juga menjadi momentum penting untuk mempromosikan Danau Toba sebagai destinasi wisata unggulan.”
Keberhasilan penyelenggaraan ini tidak hanya ditandai dengan keseruan balapan F1H2O, tetapi juga rangkaian acara lain yang menjadi bagian dari The Lake Toba GP 2025, yaitu UIM-ABP Aquabike Endurance & Class Pro Circuit World Championship, yang menghadirkan para rider jetski dunia dengan berbagai nomor kompetisi pada Rabu (13/8) – Minggu (17/8). The Lake Toba GP 2025 berhasil menarik kehadiran sekitar 120.000 pengunjung.
Selain keseruan balap, The Lake Toba GP 2025 juga menghadirkan penampilan artis nasional seperti Cokelat Band, Radja, dan Marsada. Event ini turut melibatkan 16 pelaku UMKM lokal di sekitar venue, yang membuka booth kuliner, kerajinan tangan, hingga produk kreatif khas Toba. Kehadiran UMKM ini tidak hanya memperkaya pengalaman pengunjung, tetapi juga memberikan dampak ekonomi langsung bagi masyarakat sekitar.
“Dengan keberhasilan ini, The Lake Toba GP 2025 tidak hanya menghadirkan tontonan berkelas, tetapi juga memperkuat positioning Danau Toba di mata dunia sebagai tuan rumah sport tourism berskala internasional,” tutup Troy.

The highlight of the event was the UIM F1H2O World Championship – Grand Prix of Indonesia 2025, featuring the world’s fastest powerboat racers on Saturday (23/8) and Sunday (24/8).
Canadian driver Rusty Wyatt (Sharajah Team/UAE License) claimed victory after completing 24 laps with an outstanding performance. Followed by Alec Weckström of Victory Team. British driver Ben Jelf from the Atlantic team secured third on the podium.
Organizing Committee Chairman of The Lake Toba GP / Director Operations of ITDC, Troy Warokka, praised the smooth execution of the event. “The seamless running of The Lake Toba GP 2025 demonstrates Indonesia’s capability to host world-class water sports to international standards. This event is also a valuable opportunity to further promote Lake Toba as a leading tourism destination,” he said.
The success of the event was not only marked by the thrilling F1H2O races, but also by a series of supporting programs under The Lake Toba GP 2025, including the UIM-ABP Aquabike Endurance & Class Pro Circuit World Championship, which brought together world-class jet ski riders competing in multiple categories from Wednesday (13/8) to Sunday (17/8). In total, the Lake Toba GP 2025 drew an impressive crowd of around 120,000 visitors.
Adding to the excitement, the event also featured live performances by popular Indonesian bands such as Cokelat, Radja, and Marsada. The Lake Toba GP 2025 further engaged the local community by involving 16 local MSMEs, who showcased culinary specialties, handicrafts, and creative products from Toba. Their participation not only enriched the visitor experience but also generated direct economic benefits for the surrounding community.
“With this success, The Lake Toba GP 2025 has not only delivered a world-class sporting spectacle but has also strengthened Lake Toba’s standing as an international hub for sport tourism,” Troy concluded.
